My Word For 2021

Just going to post this as if I didn’t disappear for over however many months….
Well hello there my fantastic people!!

I hope everybody had a wonderfully blissful Christmas and New Years!
It’s still so hard to believe that it’s already 2021!! 😮 Seams like yesterday we were all getting ready for the big 2020.
I have much hope for this year, and I can’t wait to delve into the stuff I have planned for this blog!! 😊❤️

But first, let’s delve into this first post of the year, shall we?

Have you ever heard of having a Word for the year??
I hadn’t until just the other day when a friend was asking what my word for 2021 is. Upon further questioning, I was told that this choosing of a word is a little tradition some people do just for the heck of it.
Some people choose the word “yes” or “no”, with the goal of saying either more frequently through the year. Other words can be chosen though, such as “patients”, “loving” or “tranquillity”; among many others.
They also will get this word put on jewelry or hang it on their wall so that they see it everyday and are reminded.

Excited about this idea, I decided to choose my very own word and thought it would be fun to make a list of some other good words to choose for this new Year.

The word I chose for myself this year is –
Metanoia {meh-ta-noy-ah}
• Greek
(n.) the journey of changing one’s mind, heart, self, or way of life, spiritual conversation.

And for those of you who are interested, here is a list of some other good words to choose from. But of course, feel free to create your own list! I can’t possibly cover ALL the good words in just one post. 😉

  • Truth
  • Giving
  • Eunoia (means: beautiful thinking, a well mind)
  • Laughter
  • Patients
  • Kefi (means: the spirit of joy and enthusiasm)
  • Wisdom
  • Mudita (means: taking delight in the joy of others)
  • Simplicity
  • Peace
  • Hygge
  • Dalisay (means: Pure, undiluted)

There you go guys! My list of… uh… *looks back*… top twelve words for 2021!

Till next time! Farewell!

  2. Hi, Hero! Glad to see your back on the air! It has been too long without you! I love this idea. The latin word for warrior is bellator. I want to be a warrior for all the right things, so that’s my word. 😄
