Quarantined Crafts and Projects

Hello dearies!

As many of you know, this whole corona virus thing has really thrown off a lot of grooves…๐Ÿ˜’ But let us groove on and make the best out of it shall we?!

I personally can get cabin fever very quickly, ‘cuz I’m the unfortunate extrovert. So a lot of my social events and weekly outings have been put on hold.

This post is a simply a list of ways you can get your social time in with friend, minus the being around each other part…๐Ÿ˜‚

#1. Go on nature expeditions together via facetime/facecall. Have a scheduled time and have a live chat where everyone goes outside and talk about what they’ve found, share facts and show their friends around where they live!๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒž

#2. Have races. Have reading races where you have to finish the same book by whatever date. Or puzzle races with puzzles that are the same size (500 pieces…etc.) Or a writing race with the same word count gaol.

#3. Have a friendly competition with a couple friends picked out to be judges. Things like a DIY contest, or best coloring page or best silly poem!

#4. Make an audiobook! Send friends a script with different parts. Have them record their parts and send them to you (or a friend who can edit) to be put together for everyone one to enjoy!

#5. Movie night! Have a set date/time and a movie that everyone agrees on and has. Start a live facecall and proceed to “snuggle up” and “share snacks” ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ’–

That’s all I’ve got for today! If you have any other epic ideas please share them in the comments!

Luvuall! Stay safe and well!!

  1. Oooh, I love these ideas ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have you tried any of them? I love the nature expedition together via facetime because that’s a good way to socialize and get some fresh air!

  2. Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious! A FaceTime chat! Brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that! Let’s have a FaceTime chat sometime!!

  3. *whispers* Perhaps we shall have to have secret meetings in the woods.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ XD In seriousness, though, these are great! And I bet they’d also work for friends who live in different states and countries! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Hey! Thank you so much for commenting!!
I know it’s super overwhelming, and I totally get the whole running away thing. I’ll often face palm and say “I’m just going to go move to the moon”. But then I remember, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord! Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future!” And I’m like, yup, this planet can suck sometimes, the government…well I won’t start that tangent, but dude! God sees it all and knows everything and he just keeps saying “Don’t worry kiddo, I’ve got this all under control.”
So yeah, silver lining…got more time to do blogging/art stuff!๐Ÿ˜

  5. Thank you. I needed to hear this.

I’m a little scared right now. Bay City and the suburbs are on mandatory lockdown effective tomorrow, for three weeks; stay home unless it’s absolutely necessary. No going out to eat, no inviting friends over, nothing. It’s scary how quick people are to surrender their freedom when there is a threat, whether real or perceived. Capital County, where I am, is talking about doing the same thing. I was seriously thinking about packing up the car and running away to somewhere where people don’t accept this kind of government overreach, and I only have eight hours to decide.

I’m now thinking I won’t run away. Maybe I need some time alone to reflect and get my life in order and get things done around the house. That doesn’t make the government overreach any less scary, but it could be worse, I guess.

(Note: I’m using the fake place names from the stories on my blog, although all of the fake places I write about are based on real places.)
